About
My name is Amanda Johnson-Anthony, and I am a proud native of Stanleyville, North Carolina. I was raised by my parents, Margie Johnson and the late James Johnson Sr., who instilled in me the core values of honesty, integrity, compassion, and love. Guided by a strong faith in God, I strive to lead by example, foster trust, and approach every interaction with respect and an open mind. My parents also taught me that education is the foundation of success, a lesson that has shaped both my personal and professional journey.

After graduating from high school, I pursued a career as a licensed cosmetologist, a profession I enjoyed for more than 20 years. In 2017, I earned my undergraduate degree from Winston-Salem State University, and I am currently pursuing a master’s degree at Salem College. Today, I proudly serve as an Exceptional Children’s Teacher with Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools, where I teach English Language Arts to students in grades 6–8. My passion for education, combined with my dedication to helping students reach their full potential, continues to inspire my work every day.

Outside of work, I enjoy traveling both within the United States and internationally. Exploring new cultures allows me to broaden my perspective, embrace diversity, and bring fresh ideas and experiences back into my classroom and community.

Looking ahead, I aspire to expand my impact in education by empowering students, supporting families, and contributing to a stronger, more inclusive learning community.
